- Content growth of the entire IRDB:
The number of contents classified by each NIItype (Journal Articles, theses or dissertations, departmental bulletin papers, etc.) is counted, and the total number of contents of the entire IRDB is calculated.
- Ratio of full-text of each NIItype to that of the entire IRDB:
The ratio of the full text of each NIItype to that of the entire IRDB is counted (it is determined by the presence or absence of the link item "fullTextURL" to the full text.)
* In the metadata format junii2 (Japanese), the link item "fullTextURL" to the full text is an item of "essential if any."
* Depending on how each IR is set, a link item to the full text may not be provided to the IRDB and "Not full text" may be displayed regardless of the presence of the full text.
* In addition, even when "Full text" is displayed, it may link to the summary and not the full text.
- Version distribution of the entire IRDB:
The version distribution ratio of contents by NIItype (determined by the value of the author-version flag item "textversion") is counted.
- When the value of "textversion" is "author": "Author version"
- When the value of "textversion" is "publisher": "Publisher version"
- When the value of "textversion" is "none": "Others"
* In the metadata format junii2 (Japanese), the author-version flag "textversion" is not an essential item. When there is no entry in the author-version flag "textversion," the ratio is not counted.
* Because the value is checked when data is taken into the IRDB, there is no fluctuation of description.
- Language distribution of the entire IRDB:
The language distribution of contents by NIItype (determined by the value of the language item "language") is counted.
* In the metadata format junii2 (Japanese), the language item "language" is not an essential item. When there is no entry in the language item "language," the language distribution is not counted.
* The language item "language" is an item that can be described repeatedly. When the language item "language" has been described repeatedly, the language distribution of each language is counted.
* Because there is a fluctuation of description in the value of the language item "language," the following interpretation is applied:
- Japanese: ja, ja_JP, jan, jap, Japanese, jpn, 日本語, and 日本語||Japanese
- English: en, en_US, eng, English, 英語, and 英語||English
- Others: Other than the above
- Number of IRs in Japan:
The IR development ratio of each type of organization (national university, prefectural university, private university, college, college of technology, and inter-university research institute corporation) is counted. The total number is based on the School Basic Survey (Japanese) by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
- Statistics of each IR:
This is analyzed and counted for each IR.
