  • Abstract 〔目的〕呼吸時の胸囲周囲径や腹囲周囲径と腹横筋厚の関係性を明らかにすることを目的とした．〔対象と方法〕対象は健常成人女性11名とし，課題は背臥位での呼吸運動とした．計測項目は胸囲周囲径，腹囲周囲径および腹横筋厚とし，伸縮性ひずみセンサC-STRETCHと超音波診断装置を同期して計測した．胸囲周囲径，腹囲周囲径が最大値，最小値を示す際の腹横筋厚をそれぞれ計測し，その変化量を算出した．〔結果〕胸囲周囲径変化量は，腹横筋厚変化量と相関関係を認めなかったが，腹囲周囲径変化量は，腹横筋厚変化量と有意な正の相関を認めた．〔結語〕腹囲周囲径から腹横筋の筋厚変化を推測できることが示唆された．
  • Abstract [Purpose] The purpose of this study was to clarify the relationships between the chest and abdominal circumferences, and the thickness of the transversus abdominis during breathing. [Participants and Methods] The participants were 11 healthy adult females. The chest circumference, the abdominal circumference, and the thickness of the transversus abdominis during respiratory exercise were measured with the elastic strain sensor C-STRETCH and an ultrasonic diagnostic device. [Results] The amount of change in the chest circumference did not correlate with the difference in the thickness of the transversus abdominis. However, the amount of change in the abdominal circumference was significantly positively correlated with the change in the thickness of the transversus abdominis. [Conclusion] This study showed that abdominal circumference could be used to infer the muscle thickness of the transversus abdominis.
