Abstract

The Association of Children's Museums (ACM) published the definition of Children's Museums in 2012 and 2019. This study aimed to study the differences between 2012 and 2019 to reveal the paradigm shift regarding children's learning at Children's Museums. The content analysis of definition of Children's Museums in 2012 showed the importance of interaction between collection items and children. Whereas the definition of Children's Museums in 2019 emphasized the communication between children and/or their family through collection items. Current study discussed on two factors which might have influenced the paradigm shift between 2012 and 2019.
