The purpose of this article is to present the fishery-related vocabulary which has been collected by our fieldwork, on the Internet and through several documents, accompanied by the dialectal words, the corresponding forms in the standard Japanese language, the meanings with brief comments and the examples in use. It primarily includes the names of fishing boats/ships, tools and methods used in the eastern costal region of the Oshima Peninsula. The research will lead us to the fact that the vocabulary is closely related to the way of local fishing.
