内容注記	Abstract The aim of this paper is to explore the geopolitical aspects surrounding the Ukraine issue, drawing on on-site investigations conducted in Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. Specifically, an attempt is made to shed light on lesser-known facets, including the involvement of Georgia's former President Saakashvili at the behest of President Zelensky in Ukraine. The research was conducted during visits to the region between August and November 2019, with the assistance of local guides who facilitated tours and interviews with key stakeholders. Building on this empirical groundwork, a geopolitical analysis of the causes and background of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 is offered, with particular attention given to the perspectives of these four countries.
