  • Abstract en The 5th round of the survey to obtain comprehensive data on daily patterns of time allocation and activities. More details on the "Survey of Time Use and Leisure Activities" overall including other years can be found here: https://korekara.tsukuruyo/. \nThe minimum age of household members to be included in the survey was lowered from 15 to 10 years of age. \nAbout 99,000 households were sampled for the survey. \nFor further details, see the following page on the website of the Statistics Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications: https://www.stat.go.jp/english/data/shakai/index.html.

However, the following are excluded:\n(1) Members of the foreign diplomatic and consular corps, as well as military personnel (including family members, accompanying persons, and family members of accompanying persons)\n(2) Self-Defense Forces personnel living in barracks or on vessels\n(3) Persons in prisons and detention centers whose sentence has been confirmed, persons in youth detention centers and women's reformatories\n(4) Persons living in social welfare facilities\n(5) Inpatients of hospitals or clinics\n(6) Persons living on the water
