Description
  • Other en Acoustic Emission (AE) is an elastic wave which is caused by loading from microscopic cracks in materials. AE is used to estimate the characteristics of cracks in material. An investigation of the time at which failure begins and an estimation of maximum load which the materials had been applied using AE is not sufficient to completely understand brittle materials such as concrete. TO obtain basic data in order to make use of AE for concrete, the authors have studied this problem, and conclude that is possible to estimate the maximum load which acts upon a structure and estimate the degree of damage in the structure using Kaiser's Effect of AE.
