Description	Other 3048, 3845 Abstract This study aimed to create a tourist knowledge and skills scale to determine whether the conditions of a“ good trip”（i.e., a trip that brings about a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment） differs depending on an individual’s tourist knowledge and skills. An online survey was conducted with 500 people aged between 20 and 69 years. The analysis of survey results revealed the following: 1） tourist knowledge and skills scale had a 5-factor structure 2） beginner and middle-level tourists with limited tourist knowledge and skills acknowledged that relaxing away from everyday life and eating delicious food were conditions of a good trip. While on the contrary, expert tourists, with a high level of tourist knowledge and skills, identified meeting and interacting with new people and making discoveries as the prerequisites for a enjoyable traveling experience. This paper discusses good tourism experiences for each knowledge and skill level.
